About Me:
I've been involved in serious sports collecting off and on (mostly on) since high school in the late 60s. In addition to autographs, I collect vintage baseball cards (Topps 1955-63), Topps football sets (1955-present), sports teams business cards, stadium & arena postcards and pocket schedules.
My main autograph vehicle for several years has been the index card. My collection of them includes over 6,000 football players, 2,500 baseball players, 1,000 each basketball and hockey. My nephew is a member of SCN also and his thing is signed baseball cards. A few seasons back he gave me that bug and I've been going hard after those (since most modern athletes will no longer sign index cards).
I enjoy reading the threads on SCN and have to give my 2 cents worth frequently. I am amazed at the knowledge of sports and the hobby in general so many members have. I learn something new everyday!
